Wines play nice with dessert

Let them eat cake. Or pie or cookies or brownies or banana bread, etc. What I’m getting at is that wine loves the traditional sweet munchies and desserts. This means that you pop another bottle or pour another glass of the dinner wine as the yummy final course approaches the table; dessert wines not required. Scanning my notes over the past year or so proves the point… The final course was a whipped cream topped strawberry pie that, along with every other dish, paired oh-so-pleasantly with the Mulderbosch  Chenin Blanc 2011 from South Africa. By the way, two other such bottlings had proven rather friendly with pumpkin pie and peanut butter chocolate chip cookies
